Good morning, We are located in Western North Carolina and looking at upgrading our surveillance system. We would like to keep the night/day vision. Any Suggestions and why would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

We use some CYTE cameras and others are Platinum Matrix. Both and good. Platinum are certainly better quality but come with that "Platinum" price tag. Cyte and a quality reasonable camera for the price.

We have two types of camera surveillance systems at our facility - wireless and internet based. If you go with internet applications, be sure your ISP is top notch. The applications should also allow you to load the ap on your mobile phone so you can view the activity from anywhere. If you go with wireless, be sure your line of sight is totally clear with no obstructions. Wireless applications should also provide mobile accessibility. You should also be able to playback the activity for a minimum of 1 month.

Although wireless is less labor intensive to install, hard wired is more secure and much more dependable. Suggest you check out Digital Watchdog site - the options are endless, you will need to determine what camera is best for what you want to capture and most DVR's have software available to allow access from internet.
