Optometrist Full Time * Berkeley Heights, NJ Summit Medical Group, a for-profit physician-owned and governed multispecialty group founded in 1929, is the premier multi-specialty group practice in New Jersey. • Leading all clinical aspects while ensuring high quality patient care
• Examine and diagnose eye disease such as glaucoma, cataracts and retinal diseases
• Diagnose related systematic conditions such as hypertension and diabetes that may affect the eyes
• Examine, diagnose and treat visual conditions such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism and presbyopia
• Prescribe glasses, contact lenses, low vision rehabilitation and medications
• Maintaining complete, timely and legible medical records Requirements of the Optometrist
• Doctorate of Optometry degree (OD) from an accredited medical school
• NJ License to practice
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills
