Correct Coding for Total Joint Replacement of R & L-2nd MPJ

I have had surgery monies retracted from a Martin's Point patient for surgery, indicating that our operative report does not match the CPT codes filed... What code should be filed for a total joint replacement of the 2nd MPJ right and left feet... diagnosis DJD 2nd MPJ right and left feet

Unfortunately, there is no code for a total joint replacement of lesser toes. It is recommended that you use the unlisted procedure code 28899 and submit the operative report with it for review.
