Facility Billing for 99024

For facility coding: Are the conventions that apply to 99024 and to the evaluation and management codes the same for facility billing as they are for professional, or not?

If the physician that performed the surgery is seeing the patient in an outpatient clinic setting, the 10 or 90 day post-operative visits must be billed with a 99024 with a zero fee. Therefore, a procedure fee does not constitute payment for that procedure.
