What is the proper ICD10 code to use for Laser therapy for Plantar fasciitis. Having problems with 1199 Insurance. ???

M72.2 (Plantar fasciitis) would be the most appropriate diagnosis. This condition occurs when the fibroblast cell-the type of cell that is responsible for making the extracellular matrix and collagen-creates an excess, causing benign nodules and pain of the foot; not associated with contractures. This code also includes plantar fasciitis, an inflammation and irritation of the plantar fascia, which is the large band of fascia that supports the arch. Repetitious stretching and tension creates small tears to the fascia causing pain in the heel.
