Correct Coding for Small Fiber Neuropathy of Lower Legs and Feet

How would you code "small fiber neuropathy of lower legs and feet"? This was given by Primary Care doctor to our office and the patient was told by his Primary Care doctor that this was enough for Medicare to cover his foot care. I am thinking this is unspecified peripheral neuropathy--G92.9--uncovered by Medicare. The patient is not diabetic.

ICD-10 diagnosis G92.9 should not be billed as it is not valid code. Based on the description from the PCP, another unspecified neuropathy diagnosis needs to be billed. For an initial evaluation G60.9: Hereditary and idiopathic neuropathy, unspecified may be used.
