Correct Coding for Ingrown Toe Nail on Right Hallux and Other Toe Before the Global Period

If patient has an ingrown toe nail procedure on R Hallux(11750) and then has another 11750 on another toe or a different surgical procedure before the global period- How do you code and what modifiers are necessary?

The procedure 11750 has a 10 Day Global. If a patient has another minor surgical procedure during this time unrelated to the previous procedure then Modifier 79 (unrelated procedure or service by the same physician during the post-operative period) should be appended as the primary modifier and the corresponding T Modifier for the other toe.
