Billing for Office Visit When Dispensing A500, A5512 or A5513

When dispensing extra depth diabetic shoes A5500 and custom inserts A5513 or heat inserts A5512 can you bill an office visit code?

Part of the payment you receive includes the dispensing of the shoes and inserts as well as making sure the items fit and are suitable and not substandard upon dispensing. If you were to charge for an office visit during that same visit the patient would have to present with the need for a separate identifiable evaluation and management not associated with the fitting and dispensing of the diabetic shoes/inserts.
