Billing Medicare for Incision and Drainage- Bilateral Subcutaneous Hematomas (Patient has MS)

I have a patient with MS, confined to a wheelchair, who presented due to bilat subcutaneous hematomas on which I performed I&Ds. Is this billable and if so with the ICD and CPT codes? Thank you

You should bill as follows

• 10140 (Incision and drainage of hematoma, seroma or fluid collection) appended with RT and LT modifiers (separate line items)

• M79.81 (Nontraumatic hematoma of soft tissue)
