Correct Coding for a McBride With Closing Wedge Osteotomy

What code would you use now for a Mcbride with closing wedge osteotomy?

For a McBride bunionectomy, the following CPT code would be used, along with a -T modifier:

• 28296 (Correction, hallux valgus (bunionectomy), with sesamoidectomy, when performed; with distal metatarsal osteotomy, any method)

For the closed wedge osteotomy, there are two possible procedure codes, depending on whether the surgery was performed on the first metatarsal joint or a lesser joint:

• 28306 (Osteotomy, with or without lengthening, shortening or angular correction, metatarsal; first metatarsal), or 
• 28308 (Osteotomy, with or without lengthening, shortening or angular correction, metatarsal; other than first metatarsal, each)
