UHC Denials-‘This Code Requires Use of an Entity Code’

Good morning-We have been getting some(not all) denials from UHC stating "this code requires use of an entity code". Is there a problem with my registration? Any help is greatly appreciated. Have a great day!!-

When a denial is received from UnitedHealthcare with the message “this code requires the use of an entity code”, it is not a registration issue preventing the claim from being paid. These are general denials from UnitedHealthcare for claim non-payment. When an EOB is received from UnitedHealthcare with this denial message, it is a non-specific denial code. When reviewing information from the insurance company, additional codes should be reviewed on the document to indicate the reason why charges were not paid so they can be resubmitted or appealed addressing the issue that caused the denial.
