The OAASC Board of Trustees has elected its next leadership team for the 2014-2015 term.
At its December 4th quarter meeting the Board selected Cheryl Cunningham, RN from the Findlay Surgery Center as Chair of the association for the two year period.
Cheryl is the administrator for the Findlay Surgery Center, a multi-specialty surgery center in Findlay, Ohio, doing 8,300+ cases a year. She has been the administrator role since 1999 overseeing the construction of the building and opening of the Center for business in February 2000.
Cheryl Cunningham's clinical nursing experience includes 7 years in Labor and Delivery and 2 years in surgery. She has worked in hospital management for 6 years over seeing the outpatient surgery department for a local hospital before moving to an associate vice-president position overseeing quality/utilization review, business office, medical records and medical staff.
"I am thrilled to be elected to lead the OAASC for the next two year," said Cheryl. "We should all be proud to have such a strong, vibrant organization and one of the strongest state association in the nation. Many have helped lead and build us over the years to this point and I am proud to carry on that tradition and hard work."

Laurie Eberly, Polaris Surgery Center (Columbus) as Secretary
Tori Caillet, Wooster Surgery Center as Treasurer
Kelly Shirer, Wildwood Surgery Center (Toledo) As Past Chair
These elections are in addition to election of Board members earlier this year by the entire membership. The Board members elected to a three year term beginning in January:
