Agronomy Sales – Agriculture Account Manager

CHS Aligned Solutions is providing Selection Services for a local member cooperative to hire for an Agronomy Sales – Agriculture Account Manager in North Central Ohio.

Position Information:

Located just west of Mansfield, Ohio, this position is considered a mid-to-senior-level role and requires at least 5 years of proven agronomy sales experience. The primary purpose of this role is to provide solutions to customers through sales and services in agronomy. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, be a self-starter and work well across different divisions of the company to provide cross-selling solutions.

Overview of Responsibilities:

Facilitate product sales including seed, crop nutrients, crop protection, and precision farming solutions through a solutions based sales process.
Perform on-farm calls, foster relationships with potential key accounts, both current customers and prospects.
Responsible for cross-selling and working across various divisions to look for areas to increase services to customers.
Responsible for product recommendations, field scouting and record keeping for accounts that pay service oriented prices.
Complete paperwork timely with accurate delivery and pricing of products and/or services.
Plan and execute test/demonstration plots as well as product trials and seed comparisons.
Conduct value-added grower meetings value and fulfill needs of customers.

Requirements:

CCA is preferred, if not must be acquired within the first year of employment.
Must have previous agronomy sales experience and knowledge of agricultural computer systems including the Agrimine Data System.
Must have excellent communication skills with a personality to mentor and foster relationships.
A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
This position will require seasonal long-hours and could involve weekend and holidays during busy seasons.
