Communications Coordinator

Ohio Soybean Council

Applications are being accepted for the position of Communications Coordinator with the Ohio Soybean Council.

The Ohio Soybean Council (OSC) is the Qualified State Soybean Board for Ohio. OSC is governed by a board of Ohio soybean farmers, and its mission is to invest Ohio soybean checkoff funds to maximize the value of soybeans and increase profit opportunities for Ohio soybean farmers.

Responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following:

Content Development

Assist in creation of editorial calendars and content strategy
Create content for print, radio, and digital resources
Create and organize photography and graphics resources
Coordinate with other content creators
Schedule and submit editorial and advertising content for Ohio Soybean magazine
Assist as needed with advertising sales for Ohio Soybean magazine

Digital Marketing

Assist in development of digital marketing strategy
Update social media accounts and websites frequently
Send regular ebulletins and other communications to target audiences

Events Coordination

Coordinate Ohio State Fair planning and execution
Coordinate Farm Science Review planning and execution
Schedule speaking engagements for staff and board members
Schedule and staff displays at outside events
Assist in creation of new, and update existing, tradeshow displays and materials
Manage tradeshow and marketing materials inventory

Ohio Soybean Council Foundation

Coordinate planning and execution of OSCF Scholarship Program
Assist in planning and execution of OSCF State Science Fair Awards Program

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
Very strong oral and written communication skills
Familiarity with agriculture and farming preferred
Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
Experience with multiple social media platforms
Ability to manage multiple and frequent deadlines a must
Proficiency with graphic design software a plus
Ability to travel as needed
Enthusiasm for the field of communications and marketing
Self-motivated, creative, and organized
