Description: The 29th Annual Business Manager's Conference will be held on Thursday, September 10, from 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and Friday, September 11, from 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom at the Ohioan Hotel and Event Center (formerly Nationwide Hotel and Conference Center) in Lewis Center, OH. 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. DODD Updates
In this session, representatives from the DODD Fiscal Department will provide updates on the state budget bill and its fiscal implications, county regionalization efforts, TCM utilization and productivity, and the latest on waiver redesign.

10:45 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. Mini MAC Training
In this session, representatives from the DODD Fiscal Department will provide a practical overview of MAC requirements and best practices for County Boards. This session will cover which activities are considered MACable, how to develop clear and compliant position descriptions, and how to interpret and utilize quarterly reports. Presenters will also highlight common areas where boards can strengthen their MAC processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and overall compliance.

1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. OACB Updates
OACB will provide a broad update on current issues impacting County Boards of Developmental Disabilities across Ohio. This session will include an overview of OACB’s ongoing initiatives, legislative and policy priorities, and the range of support and resources available to member counties.

2:45 p.m. - 3:45 p.m. Early Intervention Overview
This session will provide an updated overview of Ohio’s Early Intervention (EI) system, with a focus on mandated service requirements and recent program developments. Presenters will review current expectations for County Boards in supporting EI services, outline key changes or clarifications in state guidance, and discuss the various funding sources that sustain EI programming.

3:45 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Business Meeting

8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Tableau for Business Managers
This hands-on session will walk through key Tableau reports business managers rely on regularly, including waiver reconciliation, supplemental, creep, MER rate, and CBCR reports, along with what to watch for on an ongoing basis. Attendees are encouraged to bring their laptops to follow along live.
