Erin Simmons serves as Treasurer of the OACB Board of Trustees Executive Committee and represents the North Central Region. She brings a strong family perspective and deep commitment to supporting people with developmental disabilities.
Erin is a parent of six children, each with unique strengths and needs, including a wide range of learning, developmental, and health challenges. Her lived experience navigating complex systems has fueled her passion for helping families access supports and advocate for their children.
She is actively engaged in leadership at both the state and local levels, serving on the Governor’s Early Intervention Advisory Council, the Governor’s Early Childhood Advisory Council, the OhioPROMISE Advisory Council, and the State Leadership Team: Family Engagement Team. Locally, Erin is President of the Seneca County Board of Developmental Disabilities and a member of the Seneca County Family and Children First Council and the Seneca Autism Learning Association (SALSA).
Through her work, Erin is dedicated to strengthening supports for families and ensuring that people have the resources they need to thrive in their communities.
