John Janas serves as an OACB Trustee representing the North West Region and is also a Board Member and Secretary of the Wood County Board of Developmental Disabilities. Alongside his wife, Kris, John is the proud parent of their son, Ryan, whose love of sports has inspired countless family memories attending high school, college, and professional sporting events together.
John is a strong advocate for employment and housing opportunities for people with developmental disabilities, as well as inclusive community experiences that promote socialization and belonging. He is also a dedicated supporter of Special Olympics and believes deeply in creating opportunities that help people thrive and connect within their communities.
As an OACB Trustee, John is committed to expanding the impact of local county boards across Ohio and enriching the lives of people with developmental disabilities statewide. He credits the Wood County Board of DD with providing essential support and opportunities throughout every stage of life and says his family cannot imagine navigating life without those services.
