Federal Advocacy
OACB regularly engages with Ohio’s congressional delegation, national partners, and federal agencies to advocate for Ohio’s DD support system. By speaking with a unified voice, county boards help ensure people with developmental disabilities have strong representation on national issues.
Federal Legislation
OACB monitors federal legislation that could impact people with developmental disabilities and county board services. We engage directly with lawmakers and their staff to share local perspectives and advocate for policies that support Ohio communities.
OACB also regularly visits Washington, D.C., providing opportunities for county board members to connect with their congressional offices and share firsthand experiences.
