The Sexual Assault Advisory Board of Ohio (SAABO) seeks an emergency physician to serve as the Ohio ACEP representative to the Board. The mission of SAABO is to ensure all victims of sexual assault or sexual abuse have consistent access to quality medical care in the collection of evidence that meet the standards set forth in the Ohio Protocol for Sexual Assault Medical and Forensic Examination.
The Board works with law enforcement and other bodies to ensure accurate and accessible forensic examination kits, provide education, and review policies and protocols on an ongoing basis.
SAABO representatives serve two-year terms and are expected to attend quarterly in-person meetings at the Ohio Department of Public Safety building in Columbus. 2016 meeting dates are tentatively scheduled as:
