Governor Kasich Unveils Executive Budget

Ohio ACEP is reviewing budget proposal for impact on emergency physicians

On Monday, Governor Kasich released his Fiscal Year 2018-2019 Executive Budget. Billed as a budget that strengthens Ohio’s economy and promotes job creation, the Executive Budget focuses on the state’s jobs-friendly climate, aims to help Ohioans better prepare for careers and college, embraces state government’s use of technology, and continues to emphasize the need to support our most vulnerable Ohioans.

Ohio ACEP government affairs team will review the budget carefully for issues with an impact on emergency medicine. Our findings and our collaborative work with the Ohio State Medical Association (OSMA) and other medical specialty societies will inform most of our advocacy work in the first quarter of the year.
