Eric Blazer, MD

Dr. Eric Blazar, MD is the Clerkship Director, Core Faculty member, and Director of the Chest Pain Center at Inspira Health System in Southern New Jersey. He practices clinically at four sites, covering a wide variety of healthcare settings and patient volumes. Dr. Blazar is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at both Rowan University and the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr. Blazar received his MD from Northeast Ohio Medical University and completed his Emergency Medicine residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. He has completed advanced training in medical education and has designed educational modules on just-in-time training and clinical efficiency for ALiEM. He has also presented on numerous topics at CORD and SAEM.

Dr. Blazar has earned the “Teacher of the Year” award for three consecutive years. His professional interests include the “soft skills” of emergency medicine, clinical efficiency, and student mentorship and advising.
