Dr. L. Anthony Cirillo

Dr. Anthony CirilloDr. Anthony Cirillo serves as the Director of Health Policy & Legislative Advocacy for Emergency Medicine Physicians (EMP) where he has worked for the past 10 years. Dr. Cirillo lives in Rhode Island and practices clinically in Connecticut. He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at the UMASS Medical Center program where he served as Chief Resident. While a resident he was elected to the EMRA Board of Directors and served as the ACEP Representative for EMRA.

Dr. Cirillo has been very active at the state and national level in Emergency Medicine. He is a Past Chairman of the Rhode Island Medical Society PAC and Past President of the Rhode Island ACEP Chapter. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees for NEMPAC, ACEP’s National Emergency Medicine Political Action Committee and as the Chair of EMPPAC, the federal PAC created by EMP.

Dr. Cirillo has served on ACEP’s State Legislative & Regulatory Affairs Committee for 6 years and chaired the committee from 2010-2012. He also currently serves on ACEP’s Federal Government Affairs Committee. Dr. Cirillo has been politically active throughout his professional career. He has consulted on political campaigns at the local, state, and national level and works to encourage healthcare professionals to be more engaged in the political advocacy arena.
