M.G. "Peggy" Hatfield died October 5, 2009, while spending time at her summer residence in Napa, CA. Born Mildred Gladys Deeds, February 15, 1915, on a farm near Findlay, OH. She moved to Toledo with her family where she attended Harvard Elementary School, Libbey High School and classes at University of Toledo. She met the love of her life, B.R. "Keno" Hatfield while still in school. They were married, January 4, 1941. She is survived by daughter, Debbie Muratore (husband, Ron), of Napa, CA; son, Dr. Dennis Hatfield (wife, Robin) of Annapolis, MD; grandchildren, Bil Folger (wife, Kim) of Woodbridge, VA, Heather Hatfield of Odenton, MD, Woody Fentress of Philadelphia, PA, great-grandchildren, Leighton and Slater Folger. Peggy was a lifelong resident of Toledo where she and her husband were involved with many community and civic organizations, continually giving back to the city they loved. She was able to enjoy the warm winters in Florida for over 30 years, most recently in Hillsboro Beach. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her name to the
American Heart Association or the
Arthritis Foundation .
