OSHA Manual Scam

By KPA, OADA’s Endorsed Provider of Safety and Environmental Compliance Services

It’s that time of year again.  Dealers are getting calls from supposed “OSHA”, state or federal employees informing them that they need to purchase the updated “OSHA Compliance Manual.”  Apparently they are very pushy and do a bunch of fear mongering.  Unfortunately many unsuspecting dealership employees don’t know any better and ask that they should ship it right over.  The bill for this “OSHA Compliance Manual” is around $180, and then they get a three ring binder full of OSHA regulations printed out from the internet.

As you probably already figured out, the person on the phone does not work with OSHA and has tricked them into purchasing something that they could have found online or just asked KPA about.  Make sure and keep your dealers aware that this may be a call they soon receive.  If they do, they should kindly inform the representative that they do not need it and do not want it sent to them.
