Develops and tests psychoeducational interventions to better support family caregivers of older adults, especially people living with dementia. Focuses on practical interventions that strengthen caregiver skills with complex care, financial wellbeing, and prevention of elder mistreatment.
Teaches seminar on gerontology, as well as classes on research methods. Provides research practicum and mentorship to students.
Co-Directs the Case Western Reserve University Center on Aging and Health. Works closely with community partners to support family caregivers and generate awareness of aging topics, such as elder justice and technology innovations with aging.
