Early-Bird Registration Expires Today for OAMES Medicaid Training Seminar

 

Don’t miss out on one of the most important OAMES programs of the year!  Next Thursday, March 9, OAMES will be hosting the Spring Medicaid Training Seminar at the Quest Business Center in Columbus.  This meeting is a collaboration of the Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) and the Ohio Association of Health Plans.  All Medicaid managed care plans (MyCare Ohio and traditional) will be in attendance as well. 

The agenda includes:

• Industry update including Medicare regulatory developments by Kam Yuricich, OAMES Executive Director, and Judy Bunn, Chair of the American Association for Homecare’s Regulatory Council;
• Medicaid fee-for-service (FFS) sessions on 2017 DME rules filings, prior authorization and news from provider relations staff including the latest on the wheelchair rule and CMN;
• Billing session by Kit Shellhouse with ECS Billing and Consulting; and
• Managed care plan (MCP) presentations featuring a panel discussion moderated by OAMES State Public Policy Committee Chair Jackie Montville and breakout sessions by each MCP. 

OAMES has been working hard to improve the quality of the program by providing information and feedback members have shared with us specific to each plan. As you experience, communication with these large organizations is a challenge but every effort is being made to make the training on-site as productive and relevant as possible.
