OAMES Spring Medicaid Seminar Scheduled March 14 in Columbus

OAMES is proud to continue hosting the bi-annual training programs which offer a tremendous member benefit focused exclusively on Ohio Medicaid issues. The event brings together HME providers and staff from the Ohio Department of Medicaid fee-for-service and managed care sections as well as representatives with all of the managed care plans for training and networking.  Special thanks to the Ohio Association of Health Plans who works with OAMES to coordinate plan participation.

The spring event will be hosted at the Quest Business Center in Columbus and offers a host of important updates including the latest on the DME rules filing as well as the CURES Act implementation, the law that mandates federal Medicare rates correlation with state Medicaid rates.  The ODM External Business Relations staff will also be on hand to present an update on various program initiatives.  They have been involved in high-level meetings OAMES has hosted with ODM and the managed care plans and are aware of the challenges our providers are facing in the new managed care environment.

Lastly, your feedback is always critical to making sure we’re covering the issues most important to your business and billing challenges.  Please send topics, questions and any issues you’d like included in the seminar agenda.  We are hosting a prep call with the managed care plans on Feb. 21 and would appreciate  your input by that date. If the issue is related to ODM’s DME rules and the fee-for-service program, please share those suggestions by March 1.  In both cases, please send the information to Kam Yuricich and watch for registration to open later this month!
