Time Running Out to Register for the Virtual AAHomecare Legislative Conference

 

On September 20, AAHomecare will once again host the Virtual Washington Legislative Conference, giving HME stakeholders the opportunity to speak with legislators about pressing issues for the homecare community. Will you add your voice in support of HME policy priorities? 

We need more HME advocates to answer the call this year to build support for S. 1294 to further extend non-CBA/non-rural relief, to advocate for boosting rates in former CBAs, and to ensure that any new competitive bidding rounds will include hard-won improvements to the process our industry has fought for.  In just a couple hours’ time - from the comfort of your office - you can meet with Senators, Representatives, and staff to give a first-hand account of the challenges you face, and what your company needs to ensure a high standard of care for the communities you serve.

Important details:

• Virtual fly-in, Sept. 20 - Meetings with members of Congress will take place through Zoom conference lines from 9:00am to 5:00 pm ET on Wednesday, Sept. 20. These meetings are scheduled for you by AAHomecare's partners at Advocacy Associates but you need to sign-up ASAP to allow time to schedule.
• Prep call, Sept. 11 - One week prior to the meetings, on Monday, Sept. 11, AAHomecare will host a one-hour advocacy event online offering issue education, training on tracking your meetings and logging in via Zoom, and guidance on how to ensure your message gets through to legislators and staff. Last year’s virtual advocacy event played a critical role in securing important policy wins.
