Ohio Department of Aging Bringing 'Well Beyond 60! EXPO' to Ohio State Fair on July 30

Bringing its annual event to the Ohio State Fair for the eighth time, the Ohio Department of Aging (ODA) is hosting the “Well Beyond 60! EXPO” on Senior Day at the fair – Tuesday, July 30, 2024 – from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

More than 20 partners will be joining ODA at this year’s edition of the EXPO, offering free health and wellness screenings and demonstrations, nutrition information, and more. Visitors of all ages will learn about healthy choices they can make throughout their lifespans to ensure they live a healthier, more active life at age 60 and beyond.

“Senior Day at the Ohio State Fair promises to be another fantastic day for older Ohioans, and we can’t wait to welcome them to our eighth edition of the ‘Well Beyond 60! EXPO,’” said ODA Director Ursel J. McElroy. “With our incredible partners offering interactive health screenings and other wellness demonstrations, Ohioans will learn about some of the many resources they can use to stay healthy and active as they age. We encourage Ohioans to visit our tent, learn about why Ohio is the best place to age in the nation, and pick up some free goodies from the department and our partners.”

Partners in attendance at this year’s Well Beyond 60! EXPO include:

The EXPO spans nearly 3,000 square feet under tents located in front of Rhodes Center, just north of 17th Avenue. An event map can be found on the State Fair’s website. The EXPO will be held rain or shine.

Admission to the Fair is free for adults ages 60 and older on July 30. Parking is free for people of all ages every day of the Fair. The fair is also offering a free Senior Day concert presented by AARP. “Hotel California,” an Eagles tribute act, will perform at 1 p.m. in the Celeste Center.
