The Ohio Action for Healthy Kids Team is dedicated to improving the health and educational performance of Ohio's children through better nutrition and physical activity by promoting a healthy school environment. The primary focus includes: increased school breakfast participation, ensure that foods and beverages served on school campuses are consistent with the 2005 Dietary Guidelines for Americans and promote regular physical activity opportunities including a high quality physical education program. Ohio is divided into 10 regional zones with guidance by a mentor from the steering committee and is led by a local AFHK team member.
