Valerie

Name: Valerie Lambert – Owner, Optical Arts
Title: Secretary Treasurer, OAO

Valerie Lambert has turned a chance job into a lifelong passion. What began as a receptionist position at Optical Arts grew into a fulfilling career, eventually leading her to become the owner. With a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Toledo, Valerie initially worked in marketing but realized her heart belonged at Optical Arts, where she could make eyewear a fashion statement, not just a necessity.

When the previous owner retired, Valerie was honored to carry on a family legacy dating back to 1962. From receptionist to apprentice to licensed optician, she has embraced every opportunity to grow, learn, and shape her vision for the business. Today, she leads a talented team providing the finest quality eyewear while keeping the experience fun, personal, and stylish.

Beyond her business, Valerie is a foster parent, community volunteer, and mentor, reflecting her deep commitment to giving back. She believes in celebrating growth, embracing challenges, and empowering others to reach their potential—both in the office and in life.
