QuadMed is recruiting a Physician Assistant who is trained and experienced in Occupational Medicine to provide services at Whirlpool Occupational Health Center located in Clyde, OH.

This candidate will focus on worker’s compensation intake and triage, pre-employment physicals and health assessments, medical surveillance exams and return to work physicals.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide occupational medical care to patients depending on the needs of the client. Provide medical treatment of work-related illnesses and injuries, conduct injury causation analysis, and provide other occupational health related medical services as needed.
Provide onsite services and consultation to employers as needed.
Prescribes appropriate medical treatment and clinical medications for patients and orders studies, tests, and ancillary care services as required
Refers to appropriate specialists outside the onsite Health and Wellness Center in a medically appropriate and efficient manner
In collaboration with the Occupational Health Nurse Manager, assist the health center staff in understanding and complying with Occupational Health policies and procedures.
Follows all established Worker’s Compensation rules and guidelines of evidence based care and best clinical practice
Documents all services in the Occupational Health electronic patient medical record
Demonstrates exceptional and effective collaborative partnership and communication style with both employers and patients.
Consults/collaborates with QuadMed Occupational Medicine Physician as needed regarding patient care, assessment, and education issues
Participates in quality improvement, continuing education, and other patient care programs established by the Health and Wellness Center requirements for QuadMed
Maintains privacy and confidentiality of all patient information according to federal and state guidelines and regulations
Effectively communicates with employers and patients through technology to include email, video, telephonic, and text
Maintain professional communications by attending all required meetings, conference calls and responding to email, telephone or written communication in a timely manner.
Assist Department Manager in implementing special medical projects and services, such as shared occupational health clinic opportunities.
Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations
The ideal candidate will have at least three years’ experience in occupational health or related field, the ability to work independently and experience working with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
Required Qualifications:
Currently licensed in the State of Ohio to practice as a Physician Assistant
CPR Certification
NPI & DEA
Current National Board Certification from the State of Ohio
BLS-Certification
