OAPA Launches RFP Process for Lobbying Services

Ohio Statehouse

OAPA, the legislative advocate for the PA profession in Ohio that works to eliminate barriers so that every Ohio PA may practice at the top of their license, is now accepting lobbying proposals.

In recent months, the OAPA Executive Committee, Government Affairs Committee, and Executive Director convened to review our legislative history and operations. The group agreed that it has the fiduciary duty to evaluate OAPA's current lobbying arrangement and consider alternatives.

As such, the OAPA Board of Directors voted on July 13, 2024, to launch a lobbyist search process. The Government Affairs Committee will function as the Lobbyist Search Group, and the process will be co-chaired by Josanne Pagel and Melissa Bowlby. Proposals from prospective lobbyists/lobbying firms are due to OAPA on August 23, 2024. The lobbying contract is expected to commence on January 1, 2025.
