Congratulations to Case Western Reserve University PA student, and OAPA student member, Sofia Ivanoff- Tzvetcoff, PA-S for receiving the Physician Associates for Latino Health (PALH) Scholarship!
Candidates for this scholarship must demonstrate leadership in the Latino community or interest in Latino health issues, be a PA student in good standing, submit a letter of recommendation from an instructor or preceptor, and provide a statement of purpose for why they should be considered for the scholarship.
In response to this achievement, Sofia stated:
"I am honored to be a recipient of the Physician Assistant Latino Health (PALH) Scholarship, which supports PA students dedicated to serving Latino and underserved communities while promoting diversity within the profession. This scholarship recognizes a commitment to leadership, advocacy, and health equity which are values that are central to my work and future career.
As a PA student at CWRU and President of PA SALUD, I have been fortunate to engage with Spanish-speaking communities through health screenings and education initiatives. Receiving this scholarship is incredibly meaningful, as it affirms my dedication to improving access to care and allows me to continue growing as a future provider committed to underserved populations."
Congratulations on this honor, Sofia!
