Description: This talk will cover basic biology and identification of gall-forming organisms that can be found in Ohio. Dr. Frey will also share a few ecological stories about the interactions between galls and other organisms, as well as humans.
Presenter: Dr. Tim Frey is a Post-Doctoral Researcher at The Ohio State University, in the Department of Plant Pathology, where I studied plant-associated microbes and their interactions. I am an admin of gallformers.org, a database of North American gall-forming organisms. I am a curator on iNaturalist.org, where I have identified over 100,000 observations, mostly of gall-forming organisms.
