Corona, CA (June 14, 2018): For the 5th season, MAVTV Motorsports Network will air the Summer Shootout Series - starting Thursday, June 28th, from the world famous Charlotte Motor Speedway. The wheel-to-wheel action will once again take place under the lights on a specially-built quarter-mile oval right in the middle of the Speedway front stretch.
The 8-race series will feature the lean and very quick Legend Cars. Each car is technically-identical from engine, to weight, to tires, which makes precise car set-up and sharp driving skills the keys to victory lane.
Legend Cars, originally introduced at Charlotte over 20 years ago, are the largest single class of racing cars that have ever competed anywhere in the world. The strict technical specifications for every car are precisely the same across the country and well beyond.
Driving Champions like Kurt and Kyle Busch, Joey Logano, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Austin Dillon, Bubba Wallace, and Ryan Blaney all have their roots in racing Legend Cars.
