OFDA received word today that Gilbert Ratliff's wife, Margaret, age 75, passed away yesterday morning, Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at Hospice of Dayton. Mr. Ratliff has had a livery service in Dayton, Ohio for several years and is known all over Ohio.
Margaret Ratliff was born June 2, 1934 to the late George and Lela Ray Allen. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Gilbert Ratliff; one son, Rodney (Teresa) Ratliff; four grandchildren, Cecele, Nolan, Haley and Rodney; two sisters, Jean (Louie) Beigel and Eileen Ramby; two brothers, Ray (Shirley) Allen and Charles (Jan) Allen. Preceded in death by one sister, Geraldine Taylor and one nephew, Harold Allen. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, sister-in-law and friend and will always be in our hearts, with all the love in the world.
