This two-hour course, presented by OFDA General Counsel, David Ingram, contains the appropriate depth and expertise required for a crematory operator to safely and effectively work in a cremation facility. The information covered will include advanced operating techniques, forms and recordkeeping, procedures, policies, daily operations, and much more. This course combined with the Ohio Crematory Laws & Rules Program satisfies requirements for the “Crematory Operator Permit Refresher Course.” Note: The "Crematory Operator Permit Refresher Course" is for those who have already acquired their Permit with the State of Ohio Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors and his or her certification is due to expire.
Objectives:
The course will provide attendees with a comprehensive update on the best practices to operate a crematory, the area with the most liability in the funeral service profession.
