Andrew J. Allman, CAE, Named New OFDA Executive Director

Melissa S. Sullivan to Retire May 31st

After several months of deliberation, the search for the next Executive Director of OFDA has been completed. Operating under the OFDA Transition and Continuity Plan, the Executive Director Search Committee has worked diligently the past several months to seek out and identify the very best successor for Executive Director. 58 potential candidates were identified; through a series of questionnaires, formal and informal interviews and professional assessments, the Search Committee narrowed the field to three very qualified candidates. On March 10th the search concluded and a unanimous recommendation was delivered to the Board of Directors. A special board meeting was held on March 14th where the recommendation of the candidate was approved.

We are delighted to announce the next Executive Director of OFDA is Andrew J. Allman, CAE.

Andrew has a strong background in association management, accounting, and governmental affairs. He has the drive to lead OFDA, working collaboratively with our existing team, and is enthusiastic about representing and advancing funeral service in Ohio. With his leadership skills and non-profit expertise he will continue to build upon the solid foundation that OFDA enjoys today. He is eager to meet our members and is ready to get to work with our volunteer leaders to support OFDA's Strategic Plan. Andrew will be a terrific fit for our Association.

He will officially join OFDA on April 27th and will have the opportunity to work alongside Melissa Sullivan until her retirement on May 31st. Attend the OFDA Convention and Exhibition to thank Melissa for her years of service and welcome Andrew!
