Obituary for Don L. Hupp

Father-in-Law of Ty J. Dierkes and Grandfather of Cody D. Dierkes, both of Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home

Don L. Hupp, 93, of Woodsfield, died at 12:12 P.M. Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at the Arbors of Woodsfield surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 24, 1929, in Woodsfield, a son of the late Grace Agin Hupp. Don had worked for Ohio Ferro Alloy until it closed and was a self-employed carpenter. Don was a jack of all trades who could fix most things and was a Methodist by Faith. The most important thing in Don’s life was family.

Surviving are a son, Richard (Jaque) Hupp of Woodsfield; a daughter, Donna (Allan) Moore of Massillon; a son-in-law, Ty J. (Erin) Dierkes of Zanesville; seven grandchildren, Andrew Hupp, Arika (David) Barnhardt, Jodi Hupp, Tyler Jesse (Stephanie) Dierkes, Cody D. Dierkes, Natasha Dierkes and Joe D. Dierkes; seven great grandchildren; two brothers, Alfred (Barbara) Hupp of Canton and Billy (Barbara) Hupp of Canton.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Amy Masters Hupp, who died November 6, 2010; a daughter, Patricia Ellen Dierkes; brothers, J.D. Hupp, Boyd Hupp and Mervin Hupp; and a sister, Irene Hupp.

Friends and family may call from 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, May 6, 2022 at Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, 100 South Paul Street, Woodsfield, with Pastor Rodney West officiating. He will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife Amy and daughter, Patricia at Oaklawn Cemetery, Woodfield.
