OHLA Welcomes New Director of Education, Workforce & Foundation

Following the bittersweet news of the retirement of Cindy Sams, OHLA is excited to announce that Amanda Peltier has joined the organization as of Sept. 3 as our new lead on education and workforce initiatives, including our education committee. Amanda will also lead the new Ohio Hotel & Lodging Education Foundation, our newly-created (c)(3) entity that will help us put more resources to work on this part of our mission. Amanda brings more than 18 years of trade association experience to OHLA, recently serving as Vice President of Education and Workforce Development at the Ohio Insurance Institute (OII), leading the industry’s Insuring Ohio Futures initiative. Her work led to OII becoming the first U.S. recipient of the Fundación MAPFRE International Insurance Award for their insurance careers site and a Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Silver Anvil Award.
