OHSBCA Clinic Cancelled for 2021

OHIO HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL COACHES ASSOCIATION

August 29, 2020

Dear OHSBCA Members,
Our Executive Committee has been meeting on a regular basis regarding a number of  issues and recently have come to the unanimous conclusion to cancel our 2021 State Clinic. The decision to cancel our clinic was not an easy decision and one we are all disappointed in. In the coming weeks we plan on communicating more details that will go into further details the factors that we considered in making our decision.
Moving forward our organization is committed more than ever in providing new initiatives to highlight our great game and the programs, players and coaches to better serve our members:
● Eliminated the playing time requirement for Senior Academic All-Ohio
permanently
● Adding a Team Academic All-Ohio Award
● Increase the number of Assistant Coaches of the Year District to 3 per District
● Expanding the Augusta All-Ohio Series to include a Showcase and Game(s) for players in Grade 9-11
● Introduce in the Fall 2021 a Coaches Road Show at sites around Ohio in each District that will feature area College and High School Coaches giving clinics that will be free for members
This past year has been difficult on our programs, players and coaches but we are committed to moving forward and doing the best we can with these new initiatives and putting together an outstanding clinic in 2022.
