Jim Glauer is in his twenty-second year of teaching in the Crestline Exempted Village School District. He graduated from Crestline HS in 1969 and Urbana College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education in 1973.
While at Crestline, he has coached football, basketball and baseball, coaching the latter for twenty years compiling an overall record of 334-165. During his baseball tenure at Crestline, his teams made numerous district appearances, eight Regional and 3 state appearances including a state runner-up in 1994. He captured 7 league titles, Conference Coach of the Year in 1981, District 9 Coach of the Year in 1989 and 1994 and Division IV Coach of the Year in Ohio in 1994.
Jim and Norma Glauer have been married for 23 years. They are parents of three children. Steven, age 20 who is a sophomore at The Ohio State University and was an OHSBCA scholarship recipient in 1995. Sara, 18, is a senior at Crestline HS and Susan, 11, is a sixth grader at Crestline St. Joseph’s. Jim is currently teaching at the middle school and is the Athletic Director for the district.
