JOB DESCRIPTION:

As the Business Manager for the Human Services fiscal department, you will direct and administer daily functions, ensuring effective operation and compliance with all fiscal policies. Key responsibilities include:

• Supervise and maintain personnel records, accounting ledgers, and monthly/quarterly financial statements.

• Code invoices for state purposes, monitor inventory, and process reimbursements.

• Generate payroll and stay updated on fiscal policies.

• Develop and maintain the annual department budget.

• Oversee the purchase order process and assist in auditing internal receivables and disbursements.

• Assist in writing and monitoring contracts, including those related to TANF funding.

• Create resolutions for the Board of County Commissioners.

• Collaborate with local/state entities to ensure smooth department operations.

• Address customer billing issues and manage employee-related forms, including payroll and FMLA documentation.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A combination of education and experience that demonstrates the necessary skills and knowledge.

• An ideal candidate would have post-secondary education in finance, accounting, or business administration, plus two years of relevant accounting experience.

•Strong knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting, office practices, and management.
