SUMMARY:
Supervises Account Clerks and other fiscal staff assigned to the Human Services Fiscal - Bookkeeping unit.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The functions listed below are intended to depict general job assignments, abilities and responsibilities required of this position. Other duties as assigned.
Prepares, implements and maintains audit procedures.
Monitors the Fiscal Support records retention and record storage
Works as a liaison helping clients manage through issues with Medicare and Medicaid, which would include working with pharmacies, Health Maintenance Organizations, and State employees.
Works to resolve Medicare and Medicaid billing discrepancies.
Agency contact for Ohio Direction and Way2Go Card questions.
Responsible for overseeing the payment of Non-Emergent Transportation monthly invoices.
Responsible for submitting the monthly voter registration reporting.
Ensures verification of eligibility for payment of medical bills.
Maintains, collects and analyzes data and statistics for reports, makes recommendations to agency supervisors and/or administrators.
Assigns and reviews work, determines staffing and training needs.
Develop and coaches employees, ensures employee adherence to agency policies/procedures.
Ensures that bi-weekly payrolls are accurate in Kronos by approving/denying and reviewing requests.
Monitors and evaluates performance, initiates discipline.
Administers and adjusts employee grievances and/or complaints following agency policies and the labor management agreement.
Makes recommendations for hire.
Assists in development of agency policies and procedures affecting unit activities.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises Human Services Fiscal Support Unit employees as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting, Finance or other related degree from an accredited college or university or five (5) years finance/accounting experience.
