Discover What's in Store for Our Annual Training Conference

HOW DO I ACCESS EVENT INFORMATION?

With no printed program, the event app is your primary source of information before, during, and after the conference. You'll need the app to VIEW your personalized schedule, FIND room locations, ACCESS handouts (including to print if you prefer hard copies), and get answers to FAQs to name a few.

Only you can prevent slow internet. Download before you arrive!

  • Search for R@H ConferenceBeat Event App in your app store, select 2024 OJFSDA Annual Training Conference from the current events list, tap go to event, sign in with this email address (i.e., the one you used to register) and default passcode Discover2024.

  • To access the web-based app visit http://app.resultsathand.com/ojfsda2024. Those preferring not to download the app on their work or personal device will be expected to utilize this version.

  • Not familiar with the platform? Discover all the app has to offer with our usage guide!

WHERE DO I GO? PARK?

The conference will be held May 9-10 on the first through third floors of the Hyatt Regency Columbus (350 N High St, Columbus, OH 43215). For valet rates at the hotel where you'll be staying or rates to self-park at a nearby garage, visit ojfsda.org/hotel.

Those with a hotel reservation at the Hyatt are eligible to receive discounted valet or self-parking at the Chestnut Street Garage by taking their parking ticket to the front desk; this is not applicable to those staying at another hotel. If your room reservation is being managed by the association, your pre-approved parking charges for either the Hyatt or Sonesta will be directed to the master bill and invoiced to your agency after the event.

WHAT'S THE FIRST THING I NEED TO DO?

When you arrive, line up by last name at the registration counters in the Hayes Foyer (note the new location) to get your name badge and swag bag. Registration will be open Thursday from 7:30AM-3:30PM and Friday from 7:15-11:45AM.

Want to beat the rush? Take advantage of early onsite registration Wednesday between 3-6PM!

If you are a member (a JFS agency Executive Director or associate member), we will have your registration materials available for you at Wednesday's General Session or at the Help Desk. If you are a speaker, sponsor, or exhibitor, line up at the registration counter labeled as such to receive your registration materials. Do not get in line according to your last name.

ARE MEALS PROVIDED?

On Thursday, morning beverage service and an afternoon refreshment break, including snacks and a variety of hot and cold beverages, will be provided. Lunch isn't provided and is on your own (check the in-app FAQs for meal ideas). Be advised: there's a large event in Columbus overlapping our conference. If you'll have a larger group, we encourage making lunch reservations to ensure you can be seated.

On Friday, breakfast and morning beverage service, including snacks and a variety of hot and cold beverages, will be provided.

If you indicated you're vegan, gluten-free, or have an allergy, items that meet your dietary restriction will be available in Grant. Vegetarian options will be available with the main spreads.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

The dress code for both days is business casual. Though we do our best to maintain a comfortable temperature, we advise dressing in layers for your personal comfort.

OTHER THAN TRAINING SESSIONS, WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

AN ATTENDEE PHOTO BOOTH: Between sessions, visit the photo booth provided by Magic Mirror Gallipolis to remember how much fun you had at this year's conference!

ASK THE FISCAL & MEDICAID EXPERTS: The Bureau of County Finance and Technical Assistance, Office of Fiscal and Monitoring Services, and Medicaid's county engagement team will be available to talk through county-specific questions and scenarios in an informal setting. Even if you don't have any burning questions, we invite you to stop by and introduce yourself.

JFS PARTNERS EXHIBITION HALL: Meet our wonderful exhibitors and pick up some cool swag along the way. Don’t forget to join the in-app scavenger hunt, enter your name to win a county raffle basket, and take a commemorative photo while you’re there!

AN EVENING NETWORKING EVENT: Thursday evening, diamond event sponsor Northwoods invites you to Gaswerks for food and drinks. The wristband that'll be provided in your swag bag will be required for entry.

Check the agenda in the app for times and complete details.
