OOF IRA Donation

Are you looking for a tax-saving way to help children’s vision care throughout Ohio? If you currently hold a traditional Individual Retirement Account (IRA) and have reached age (72) when you must take a Required Minimal Distribution (RMD), you are eligible to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) to a non-profit of your choice. You may also withdraw and make a donation at age 59 ½.

We would like to encourage you to make such a donation to the Ohio Optometric Foundation (OOF). OOF is committed to improving the vision and eye health of children and other Ohioans in visual need by providing access to necessary eye care.

A donation to OOF will go toward:
*Improving the vision and eye health of the citizens of Ohio, with a focus on children's vision care
*Providing opportunities and resources for children and under-resourced individuals to obtain eye health care
*Educating the citizens of Ohio to make informed decisions regarding eye health and the importance of a lifetime of comprehensive eye care.
