This annual event is an essential component of the Ohio Optometric Association’s advocacy strategy to protect, advance and modernize the profession. ODASH connects ODs with their elected officials in the Ohio General Assembly to discuss the issues most important to the profession, advocate for specific bills, and ensure legislators understand the scope of their work. With the introduction of the scope modernization bill, this year's ODASH is one of the most important events of the year. All OOA members and students are invited to attend free of charge.

Optometry is a legislated profession, which means that elected officials can dramatically alter it – either positively or negatively – at any time. With so much at stake, it's critical that optometrists are active in influencing the legislative process. The OOA Board and lobbying team will make certain that you are well-prepared for legislative meetings and are available to provide guidance and answer any questions you may have. Our goal is to make the day productive and enjoyable!
