Medical Board Redesigns On Line Registration Form

The Ohio State Medical Board, effective October 4, is launching a redesign of the on-line physician renewal application form.  In addition to the standard questions asked in previous registration periods, the Board has added a series of new, mandatory demographic questions to capture data needed by the state for workforce planning.  

"The Ohio Osteopathic Association and other health related organizations have complained about the lack of reliable physician data practice data for more than three decades," said OOA Executive Director Jon Wills.  This data should help policymakers capture more reliable and timely data to make better decisions on healthcare workforce needs."
