Diversion Overview for Pharmacists - CE Program

To understand and identify red flags as well as steps to report deceptive drug behavior

12:30 p.m. Describe pharmacists' roles and responsibilities in appropriately managing pain as well as detecting and reporting potential deception
2 p.m. BREAK
2:15 p.m. Identify Ohio drug laws related to prescription drugs and drug use
2:40 p.m. Recognize red flags that can potentially identify individuals who are intending to deceive. 
3:05 p.m. Explain how deceptive drug behavior affects agencies, cities and individuals
3:25 p.m. List contacts available to report findings
3:35 p.m. Questions and answers

Awarded 0.3 IACET general CEUs; 3.0 CPEs; 1 MCO contact hour and 0.3 **Pharmacy (CPE).

Documentation has been submitted to the appropriate organization for CCM, CRC, CDMS, CLE, and *RN contact hours.

ACPE Logo**The Ohio Pharmacists Foundation Inc. is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.  Pharmacists who attend this program (ACPE # 0129-9999-10-055-L04-P) will earn 0.3 CEU of credit.   

 

This CE program is targeted to all pharmacists.  To receive continuing pharmacy education credit, you must sign in and out on the program attendance sheet, complete the CE and evaluation form, and return the signed form to OPF or BWC staff at the event.  Your statement of CE credit will be mailed to you within four weeks.  All sessions are knowledge-based activities. There is no partial credit available for this program.

Conflict of Interest:  There is no conflict of interest for this event.

Commercial Support:  There is no commercial support for this event.

Request for refunds, less $5 administrative fee will be honored if received by 9/29/10.
